GranitiFiandre is the worldwide leading manufacturer of
italian porcelain floor and
wall tile dedicated to commercial, industrial and residential use.
The company produces a wide range of high quality porcelain tile materials such as wall tile, stone tiles, granite and marble slabs aimed at prestigious architectural solutions.
The company challenge is to produce 100% natural materials providing porcelain tile products with the aesthetics of quarried marble, granite and stone but without the limitations often found in these materials.
In fact GranitiFiandre materials have similar compositions and appearance of quarry marble and granite but their technical characteristics of brightness, homogeneity, resistance and low absorption are superior; properties which make them particularly suitable for all types of architectural application.
GranitiFiandre headquarters and its two production facilities are located in Castellarano (Reggio Emilia, Italy) where they provide two primary functions:
Production of floor and wall tiles with a yearly capacity of about 7 million sqm;
Polishing of the honed material with a yearly capacity production of about 3 million sqm of polishing products.
This facility is ranked among the largest polishing facilities in the world.
GranitiFiandre porcelain tile that unlike quarry materials are produced with minimum environmental impact, are exported to over 100 countries, in particular to France, Germany and United States and are also sold in 70 Geologica Shops in all the main cities in Italy and in the world.
Many initiatives have been carried out this year to spread a "Culture of Architecture" and a "Culture of New Materials in Technical Ceramics".
The collaborations with world-famous architects are everyday occurrences and contribute to strengthen the company`s image and prestige.
Moreover, among these initiatives it is worth mentioning the international architecture magazine Materia, with its 45,000 copies currently distributed worldwide and a knowledge index of over 10% among architects (source Databank).
The splendid Geologica Megastore of Castellarano (Reggio Emilia), opened on the occasion of Cersaie 2002, has enjoyed a great success, with a large number of visitors from the design` world. Many have been the initiatives regarding the cooperation between GranitiFiandre and the project and construction world.
Graziano Verdi, President of GranitiFiandre commented: "I believe that GranitiFiandre S.p.A. owes its success to the technical and aesthetic qualities of its materials, the turn-key service offered to customers, a marked attention to designer requirements and the numerous initiatives promoted by GranitiFiandre contributing to the spread of a Culture of Architecture and Materials".
